On December 14, 2023, students at Town Creek Middle School were treated to an inspiring talk on self-esteem by Mr. Eric Williams, manager of Jungle Rapids in Wilmington. This event was supported by our organization, the 100 Black Men of Coastal NC.
Mr. Williams spoke passionately about the importance of believing in oneself. He shared stories and tips on how to build self-confidence, making a strong impression on the students.
Our mentors, Dr. James Graham, Dr. Jerry Jackson, and Mr. Matthew Hurley, were also there to support the event. They are part of our team at the 100 Black Men of Coastal NC and were happy to be involved in this important discussion.
The session ended with a question-and-answer segment, where students eagerly participated. Mr. Williams, located in the second row, first on the right, stood out as a guiding figure throughout the talk.
This event was a great opportunity for us at the 100 Black Men of Coastal NC to help inspire and educate young minds about the value of self-esteem.
