Last week, the students at Town Creek Middle School had the pleasure of listening and learning from Mr. Michael Grice, an Electrical Engineer at Corning Incorporated. Mr. Grice gave a moving and powerful talk about his career and the challenges he overcame, and he asked the students to adopt these words every day: "I will be great." Thank you, Mr. Grice!

Thomas Crumdy, a mentor in 100 Black Men of Coastal North Carolina's mentoring program and a retired Correctional Sergeant, visited Town Creek Middle School a few weeks ago. He gave the students a "bird's eye view" of the job duties of a Correctional Officer and the importance of making good decisions in life.
The 100 Black Men of Coastal NC were honored to be asked by Hoggard High School to participate in a Black History Month panel discussion! Community service leaders and chapter members were invited to share their perspectives and insights on a range of topics and answer questions. Participants included Sandra McClammy, Dr. Tyawanna Bell, Jacen Murphy, Travis Corpening, and chapter president, Angelo Williams. Several chapter members, Ernie Davis, Stan Hixon, and Dwight Findlay set up a table the next day to showcase our programs and offerings to the entire student body.
A warm thank you to Hoggard High School for highlighting our chapter and other Black-owned businesses and Black-led organizations at the event. It was a wonderful experience to celebrate and honor Black History Month by connecting with our community's youth.
