On Saturday, February 25, 2023, the 100’s Future Teacher Leaders had the honor of listening, engaging and learning from Dr. Donyell Roseboro, professor of Education at the Watson College of Education, UNCW, about the historical significance of the Rosenwald schools. Through hands-on activities, she helped the students understand the gravity of the Rosenwald schools black community, and its context in shaping education for African Americans in the Jim Crow south.
